Annual Detroit FD ~ Engine 21 Picnic



What a great weekend! The kids had an awesome time at the Kay residence last Saturday, in honor of the Annual Detroit FD - Engine 21 Picnic. Kay parties are always favorite events. This year in particular, there were a lot of children in attendance, including my kids. It was very heartwarming to capture all of the Dads and their kids playing Waterball together - the day before Father's Day.

In the video, T.J. is playing Waterball with his Godfather, Nate Darling (AKA: Uncle "Nutz"), who came up from Indianapolis FD. My husband Scott (AKA: Goose) is manning the airhorn in the pick-up truck (blue striped shirt). In attendance were firefighters from Detroit, Indi, Ann Arbor, Ypsi, Pittsfield Twp., Superior Twp. and Saline fire departments, to name a few.

This was my first video slideshow with special effects and music. Now that I have learned the ropes, I am planning Jili's Adoption video. Enjoy the video.

    Morning Jill - GREAT work on the slide show! Windows also includes a 'video maker' that will allow you to make a streaming video that can be uploaded - and has "sliders" to make adjusting timing pretty easy!

    And now we know what 'water ball' is - and it looks like a blast!! We cops have something called a 'carp on' that kind of combines fishing and marksmenship...but no adult beverages!

    Soo glad to see life being lived - thanks - happy for y'all and some great traditions!

    Quite an eclectic music mix-the best kind, in my opinion! How can you not have a good time with people called Goose and Nutz, right?

    Thanks Aus. I used the Windows program, and I think it's the same one. Is there a better way to upload or place to upload?
    I used to be a police dispatcher. One of the officers is also a boat captain, and has Bass Tournaments every year. Lots of fun.
